At St. George’s, we use the Understanding by Design unit mapping framework (Wiggins and McTighe) whereby units of study are designed with the desired results in mind.
The curriculum mapping process is a detailed and intense process that is generally completed over a period of time. The absence of information in any given plan does not mean that the course is not currently being taught in a strategic way. Our progress on these maps is on target, and most of our professional development days are spent on further developing content.
